Function: Provides client-centred nursing care to Bethany Lodge residents in accordance with administrative policies‚ physicians' orders‚ established standards‚ CNO and MOH and recognized nursing principles.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• administering medication
• health assessment and intervention
• providing required treatments
• initiating‚ implementing and updating the resident's plan of care
• supervising RPN's and PSWs

• Current Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Experience in geriatric‚ Long Term Care nursing required or completion of a course in geriatric nursing
• Skill in planning‚ co-ordinating and supervising Personal Support Workers
• Knowledge and understanding of the aging process
• Leadership skills
